9% Rise in Iran Transit
Close to 542,000 trucks transited through Iranian borders, carrying a total of more than 14.8 million tons of goods in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21, 2017), registering a 9% increase compared with the similar period of last year, the caretaker of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s Transit Supervision Bureau said.
“Foreign trucks accounted for nearly 8.27 million tons of the total sum, indicating a 13% rise year-on-year,” IRNA also quoted Hossein Salari as saying.
