IMIDRO Released PERED Technology Booklet

IMIDRO released the English version of PERED (Persian Reduction) Technology booklet.

headlines of PERED booklet are as follows: explanation of sponge iron production methods in Iran and around the world, Iran the Largest Producer of Sponge Iron, New Technology of Sponge Iron Production, Advantages of PERED vs. other technologies and table of typical comparison between PERED®& other technologies.

It can be seen in this booklet that PERED could be considered as an optimized method for sponge iron production. This technology has been registered in Germany under the license of MME (an Iranian company). This new technology has some privileges compared to the previous ones.

As mentioned before, hitherto, other technologies were used in the country for the reduction of pellet to produce sponge iron. So, those plants which are using these technologies are committed to pay their membership fees. Meanwhile, for any changes and reforms they require to purchase some parts of the equipment and know-how from foreign companies which means to be more dependent than before. But, due to the innovation and registration of this new technology by Iranian experts, domestic units will be exempted from paying such costs. Therefore, at first it reduces the production cost.

This booklet has been prepared jointly by IMIDRO and MME companies. Recently, PERED technology is being used in DRI plants. Mianeh and Shadegan DRI plants are the first plants in provincial steel projects which are equipped with PERED technology for DRI production.
