SAIPA, Iran’s second-largest carmaker, has announced the price of its latest model Quick.
SAIPA Announces Quick Price

The company wants 420 million rials ($10,500) for the small hatchback, local automotive website Asbe Bokhar reported.  According to company officials, the vehicle’s presale will start next week and cars will be delivered in early 2018. Customers are required to pay 190 million rials ($4,750) in down payment and they will be eligible for 18% Mosharehakat (partnership interest). Mosharehakat is a Sharia-based partnership contract. Quick is equipped with a 1.5-liter, 87-hp engine coming along with a 5-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT). Considering the excessively high price for a small city hatchback, market watchers are of the opinion that Quick will have to struggle to attract buyers.
