Crude Steel Output Rise 14% in H1

Iran’s crude steel output and steel chain growth during the first half of the current Iranian year(March 21,September22) increased 14 percent and 25 percent respectively compared to the corresponding period of last year.

during this period Iran produced 8.1 million tonnes crude steel. At the same time, iron ore concentrate output and iron ore pellet output increased 21 percent and 25 percent respectively compared to the corresponding period of a year ago.

In h1 of the current Iranian year, iron ore concentrate production and iron ore pellet production were 18.8million tonnes and 15.3 million tonnes respectively. Also, steel products output was 5.2 million tonnes indicating a 5 percent growth compared to the corresponding period of last year.

During this period, aluminum ingot stood at 166 thousand tonnes indicating a 4 percent decrease compared with the same time of the last year. While, aluminum powder production was 121 thousand tonnes registering a 4 percent growth compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
