Qhaenat Steel Complex's Steel making Unit Inaugurated
me-metals: The Qhaenat Steel Complex's steelmaking unit was inaugurated by the order of President Pezeshkian attended by Mohammad Masoud Samieinejad, IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors, Hassan Younesian, Managing Director of the National Iranian Steel Company, and Mohammad Shahbazi Pour, Head of Qhanat Steel Complex.
According to me-metals cited by IMIDRO's public relations, This industrial unit, by an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons of steel ingots, is considered as one of the important and strategic projects of the country's steel industry and plays an effective role in completing the production chain, increasing added value, and preventing the sale of raw materials.
245 million euros has been invested for the implementation of this project and has provided direct employment for 700 people and indirect employment for 3,300 people. By the inauguration of this steelmaking unit, the country's steel production capacity has increased to 55 million tons per year, marking an important step in the path of industrial development and strengthening national production capacity. The opening of this unit is regarded as a turning point in the industrial development of the country’s east and elevating and promotion of the steel industry's position in the region.
