New high-technology EOT cranes for Lech-Stahlwerke rolling mill plant

Lech-Stahlwerke recently awarded Danieli Centro Cranes with an order for eight Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) cranes (FEM class A7/M7), each with 15t lifting capacity, for its plant in Meitingen, Bavaria, Germany.

Two of the cranes will replace the obsolescent ones currently installed in the plant’s finished product area, while the remaining six will serve the new rolling mill.
The cranes will be designed and manufactured in Italy at Danieli Centro Cranes workshop in Bedizzole (Brescia) and will be delivered and installed starting in mid November 2017.
Lech-Stahlwerke is part of the German group Max Aicher and operates an electric steel meltshop and hot rolling mill at Meitingen for the production of 1,1 Mtpy of rebar, high-quality and high-grade structural steel.
This is an important order for production service cranes in the European market for Danieli Centro Cranes.
