According to me-metals, Mohammad Yasser Tayebnia, in this ritual, asking questions about the performance of each employee in the past year, said: The hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) “Take account of yourselves before you are taken to account” teaches us that we should be careful in evaluating our own performance before taking account of others. The spiritual growth of people depends on various factors, but the growth of a person is a different concept and means the growth of the soul and heart. “Meaningful work” is the key to this growth.
He continued: "We must ask ourselves what the meaning of our work at Mobarakeh Steel is. Is simply producing steel and steel sheets enough? We can answer that it is good, but not enough. The country's economic growth is also good, but not enough."
The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company stated: "We spend at least 35 to 40 percent of our waking hours at work, and the meaning of our work has a great impact on our sense of satisfaction and effectiveness. Those who have meaningful work both feel more satisfied and have productive work. If today, within the framework of the concept of sublime work, we seek to bring the hot rolling project No. 2 to life as quickly as possible, we will help the country, because this project increases job creation, which brings many benefits."
He added: January 10 was the anniversary of the martyrdom of Amir Kabir, a great man who gave his life for his country. Each of us can be an Amir Kabir in Mobarakeh Steel. Mobarakeh Steel can play an irreplaceable role in the country's economy and replace the steel economy with the oil economy. Iran ranks tenth in steel production in the world and produced about 28 million tons of steel in 11 months of 2024, a significant part of which was achieved through the efforts of Mobarakeh Steel employees. If it were not for the efforts of Mobarakeh Steel employees, great records would not have been recorded during off-peak hours of gas and electricity consumption, these achievements would not have been achieved, and the country would not have been able to maintain its position.
Tayebnia added: "Mobarakeh Steel is a living being, and if we describe it as a living person, it is 32 years old today. We must examine whether this industry has also grown spiritually. We must ask ourselves what efforts we have made so far to prevent Mobarakeh Steel from declining."
He added: "My assessment today is that the efforts of the employees and founders of Mobarakeh Steel have borne fruit, and despite the fact that this company has faced various imbalances in transportation, raw materials, gas, electricity, and water over the past years, it has grown and matured today. Examples of this maturity and growth include the fact that it has now put the country's largest solar power plant into production, taken steps towards solving its own water problem and even the industry of Isfahan province, and has reached 98 percent physical progress in the first phase of the project to transfer water from the Sea of Oman."
The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company continued: "Mobarakeh Steel has taken effective measures in strengthening the areas of transportation, knowledge, and development, and in fact, we can say that Mobarakeh Steel has moved forward in the areas where developed countries and leading companies have taken steps and has not lagged behind. We have also ensured a sustainable supply of the raw materials we need by setting up small mines in different parts of the country and purchasing shares in the Opal Industrial and Mining Company."
He said: "Today, Mobarakeh Steel is the country's largest non-oil exporter. It has brought honors and good developments to the country, and we understand very well the hardships that the founders of Mobarakeh Steel have endured."
The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company continued: "The records and honors of Mobarakeh Steel are of great importance; but it is always more difficult than winning the championship to maintain the championship position, and this is also true of Mobarakeh Steel's production records. We must maintain these honors by creating meaning in our work."
He added: "The necessary follow-up to strengthen the living conditions of the dear retirees of Mobarakeh Steel is on the agenda, and through legal authorities and the Steel Pension Fund, we are pursuing all ways to strengthen their conditions, and we have been able to obtain permits to improve and strengthen the livelihoods of the dear retirees."
Tayebnia added: Regarding the valuable employees of Mobarakeh Steel, we have always tried to do what we can to the best of our ability in terms of livelihood, because all the achievements are due to the efforts of the hardworking employees. We talk about meaningful work and culturally rich work, and if we say that we are thinking about meaningful work, at the same time we have tried to institutionalize the culture of caring for the workers and employees of Mobarakeh Steel. We must bear in mind that Mobarakeh Steel is not just a company, but a big family in which each individual plays an important role.
In a ceremony commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the opening of Mobarakeh Steel Company, Mohammad Hassan Erfanian, founder and project manager of Mobarakeh Steel Company during the construction period, spoke in a heartfelt note to the CEO, vice presidents, and employees of Mobarakeh Steel:
"Our Lord, you know what is hidden and what is revealed, and what is hidden from God of anything on earth or in the sky; God or You know very well what we hide or what we reveal, and nothing in the earth and the sky is hidden from God."
"O you who are at our service, and I truly believe that you know and teach what is hidden and what is apparent, for nothing is hidden from the Creator in the earth and in the heavens."
Congratulations to myself and to you on the anniversary of the fruitful sapling that your predecessors and you planted and guard. Thank you for calling me "the founder of Mubarakeh Steel." You know. This name allows me to have a word every time I come to your service; but I have nothing new to say for you. I have an old word that has been neglected. This old word is a book and it is not possible to expand it in this limited time.
Today I am the spokesperson for the 2 million person-months that founded this building; Mobarakeh Steel is the product of meaningful work. I borrowed this beautiful keyword from Mobarakeh Steel's human resources researchers.
The establishment of the blessed steel has been a pain for us and you, but it has not been accompanied by hardship. The greatest hardship that has befallen all of us is “ignorance”; the same thing that made Prophet Abraham break the idol. Abraham, that extremely patient, responsible, sorrowful, and hopeful superman, did not break a statue called an idol, but he broke ignorance. What is the ignorance of humanity that still persists? A completely hospitable, self-sufficient existence is characteristic of humans; but humans, relying on the journey acquired from their ancestors, believe that a small part of the earth and existence has crops and the rest is barren, in the words of the Quran, “uncultivable.”
In order to refute this view of existence and the earth, Abraham took Hagar and Ishmael, his wife and child, to a valley called Mecca at the foot of the mountains of Safa and Marwa, which was apparently barren and "uncultivable." There, he established a symbol called the House of God and a ritual called Mecca. He taught his wife and child that symbol and ritual, and sent this message to the world that Mecca could be safer than Palestine and Jerusalem. However, except for a few in the world, no one understood this message and found themselves caught in the grip of ownership and monopoly. Although many tribes such as Hud, Ad, and Thamud have been buried and archaeologists have provided information about the causes, humanity has still not been freed from this ignorance.
I have many memories of the establishment of the Mobarakeh Steel Plant, which symbolized the hardships of our era, and I am sure that today's generation also has this problem.
The late Hashemi, the then president, visited and inaugurated Mobarakeh Steel twice. At the inauguration of the first smelter, I showed him the steelmaking hall and said that this complex was being built for a capacity of 6 million tons. He put his finger to his nose in a “hiss” sign and said: “Just think about launching 2.3 million tons. The country does not have the capacity to hear this and believes that it will not work.” I said: “Mr. Hashemi, you and I do not know steel, but we both know sheep. Mobarakeh steel sheet is like sheep waste, useful and economical. The production of sheet in this complex is my responsibility; but you should look for other sheep products such as meat, bones, brains, hearts, intestines and even its tailbone.” He was stunned and did not say anything. Until he answered me at the inauguration of the hot rolling line and said: “All experts believed that Mobarakeh Steel would not work and even if it did, it would be uneconomical. "I trusted a forty-year-old man who spoke from the depths of his soul. Today, I understand that there are abilities in the country that the president has bestowed upon me." He added, "In my office, I see the movement of the industry under the influence of the construction of Mobarakeh Steel." And he didn't say, "I'm reading."
Among other memories is that of the late Turkan, who was a man of strategic thinking. He was speechless during his visit to the Mobarakeh Steel Plant. When he said goodbye, he said, “Your life is in danger.” I asked, “Why?” He said, “Your country cannot tolerate you because you are 20 years ahead.”
Now, I am not saying that you, the workers of Mobarakeh Steel, are in danger of your lives, but I am saying that you are constantly in difficulty, because you have been at the top for more than 20 years. My colleagues, Iran has not been industrialized. There are three industrial institutions, such as the IRGC, Nuclear Energy, and Mobarakeh Steel, which remain as symbols and have not yet fulfilled the mission of industrializing Iran; they still use the word resistance. It is natural that there is no defeat in resistance; but there is retreat, there is difficulty.
What is the indicator of industrialization? The municipality has paved a part of the sidewalk with grooved stones to guide the blind; but motorcyclists park on the same crossing or on it to escape traffic. In this situation, the blind person has an accident. Industry is a tool for the advancement of culture; because it is obliged to the result and not the duty and it works with the process until it reaches the result; that is, harmony with existence, which is prayer, which is humanity. So this duty is the duty of industry before it is the duty of guidance. What should Mobarakeh Steel do? Meaningful work.
Meaningful work means building a structure whose software, hardware, and human resources have a strategy that is in harmony with and guarantees its existence. In other words, Mobarakeh Steel has a structure committed to results.
In a structure that is responsible for results, there is no such thing as employees; everyone is responsible; everyone is responsible for results, and no one has the right to stop until they achieve results.
The Quran has introduced itself as guidance and light. That is, guidance based on a specific address. It has introduced the Messenger as guidance and preaching; that is, symbolic guidance. That is, a witness. Qassem Soleimani's interpretation of a martyr was that during life, one must be a witness, a standard example, or a perfect human being in order to be called a martyr after death.
As a witness, Mubarakeh Steel should not see iron as a sheet, but rather as a tool for paying off debts. Mubarakeh Steel is not proud of not consuming water, but rather its pride is that it believes that everything lives from water and that water is the lifeblood of the earth. 300 to 500 billion cubic meters of rainfall per year in Iran can accommodate the settlement and coexistence of much more than humans, inanimate objects, animals, and plants. Because streams are tamed by humans, just as iron has been tamed by humans. The problem lies in the proprietary and monopolistic structure that is interpreted in the existence of oppression and destroys the oppressive people, whose subsidence is a warning.
The pride of Mobarakeh Steel is not greater profitability for shareholders, but rather the belief that wisdom, which is rooted in science, has transformed science into experience without insight and is not responsive to the harmony of existence. As a witness, the basis for the flow of knowledge from the university to the level of society, which has blindly followed the path of experience, must be provided; because if this happens, the productivity of this land will always have a surplus that makes man jealous and ungrateful.
We read in statistics that Iran has one percent of the world's population, 10 percent of the world's resources, and one-tenth of the world's gross domestic product. This is the structural flaw that, if Mobarakeh Steel does not make an effort to fix, the flaw will overwhelm the product like a weed.
When the first paper mill was built, reporters asked me what message I had for the nation. I said, "The paper mill issue has been resolved as one of the thousands of problems in the country. Let's hurry up and solve the remaining problems on earth." What Abraham symbolized in Mecca and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ruled at Ghadir, may it never be the same.
At the end, the mystics referred to verses from the Quran and said: "Fear the day when the being who has been at your service and has been your provider will treat you with a frown."
I ask your forgiveness for all the things I failed to do that I should have done and for causing hardship for you, my colleagues, and even your seniors.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mobarakeh Steel Company, on the sidelines of the ceremony commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the company's opening, said: "I congratulate all managers, current and retired employees, shareholders, and business partners of the company on the 32nd anniversary of the opening of the large and growing Mobarakeh Steel Company."
Mohsen Salehinia added: "In classifying industries, we consider a company like Mobarakeh Steel as an industrial-building industry. A company that has created production, added value, and employment in all parts of the country by implementing various industrial and infrastructure projects. All these achievements indicate that Mobarakeh Steel was established with the good policies of its predecessors and founders and has been able to achieve the aforementioned goals and achievements; while we think that we are still at the beginning of the road and that we can join hands and continue to achieve more sublime goals."
It is worth mentioning that the celebration of the services and efforts of Engineer Erfanian during the construction of Mobarakeh Steel and the unveiling of the photo book of wildlife in Mobarakeh Steel, with the aim of depicting the coexistence and reflection of the unknown beauties of wildlife in the heart of one of the largest industrial areas of Iran, were other parts that were held with the efforts of public relations during the ceremony of the 32nd anniversary of the opening of Mobarakeh Steel.
