Major Iranian iron ore companies produced 6 million and 53 thousand and 900 tonnes iron ore concentrate during a two-month period (20 March-21 May 2017),43 percent increased compared to production of 4 million and 225 thousand and 579 tonnes in corresponding period of the last year.
Gol-e-Gohar Company ranked first by production of 2 million and 140 thousand tonnes iron ore concentrate. Second and third place belongs to Chadormalu and Central Iron Ore companies by production of one million and 650 thousand tonnes and 718 thousand tonnes respectively.
During these two months, 6 major iron ore companies produced one million and 15 thousand tonnes granulated iron ore which decreased 6 percent compared to corresponding period last year.
Central iron ore produced 332 thousand tonnes. Jalal abad Company and Iran Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex ranked in second and third place by production of 225 thousand and 170 thousand tonnes respectively. Sangan, Chadormalu and Mishdowan companies produced 153 thousand, 173 thousand and 60 thousand tonnes granulates iron ore respectively.
