According to the report of Public Relations of IMIDRO, Global crude steel production during the first eight months of 2023 stood at 1 billion and 256 million tons, indicating %0.2 growth compared with the corresponding period of the last year, WSA announced.
Also, World steel Association reported that Iran’s crude steel output from January to August 2023 stood at 19.7 Mt, registering a %1.1 rise compared with the same period of the last year.
Likewise, during August 2023, 63 steel producing countries produced 152.6 Mt of crude steel, registering 2.2 percent growth YOY. Meanwhile, steel output of Iran during August 2023 were 1.6 Mt, down 24.1 percent YOY.
During this eight-month period, China with 712.9 Mt crude steel output, India with 92.2 Mt, Japan with 58.4 Mt, United States with 53.8 Mt and Russia with 50.8Mt respectively were the world’s top 5 steel producing countries. Meanwhile, Iran still is the 10th biggest steel producing country in the world, WSA reported.
