Water Transmission from Oman Sea Covers All Regions of Sistan-Baluchestan Province

Water desalination and transfer from Oman sea to Sistan&Baluchestan and eastern provinces’ project with 160 trillion rials(over $3.265 billion) investment has progressed 12 percent, Industry, Mine and Trade Minister announced.

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO,” We have intensive plans to visit the strategic project of transferring the water of Oman sea to the eastern provinces of the country, and its fresh water will be transferred to all the villages and cities of Sistan and Baluchestan province, Abbas Aliabadi, Industry, Mine and Trade Minister of Iran declared.

He said that water transfer to villages and cities leads to development of production and employment so it results in significant prosperity.

Aliabadi added: This project is very large and important. We aimed to complete it by the end of the next Iranian Calendar year (March 2025). Although, achievement to this goal requires a special cooperation.
Emphasizing that industrial development in Sistan and Baluchestan is the government's priority, he stated: all the industrial organizations are ready to cooperate for realization of this goal and a large investment has been allocated to it.
