According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, The latest report of International Copper Study Group (ICSG) indicates that world copper mines production stood at 15,641 ,000 tons during the first nine months of 2021 up 3.1% YOY.
During this period, copper mines of Americas produced 8,308,700 tons of copper, Asia about 3,278 tons, Africa mines produced 1,935,900 tons, Europe1,391,900 tons and Oceania produced 726,600 tons of copper respectively.
During the period under review, Global Copper mines capacity stood at 19, 443,000 tons indicating a %5 increase compared with the corresponding period of the last year.
Global copper producers during the first nine months of 2021, produced 18,509,000 tons of refined copper, up 1.7 percent YOY.
Likewise, refined copper production capacity of global smelters stood at 22,710,000 tons during the first nine month of the current calendar year, rise 1.5 percent YOY.
