According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, The latest report of International Copper Study Group (ICSG) indicates that world copper mine production passed 12 MT registering 3.6% rise in the first seven months of 2021.
During this period, copper mines of Americas produced 6.439 million tonnes of copper, Asia about 2,541 million tonnes, Africa mines produced 1,482 million tonnes, Europe1.072 million tonnes and Oceania produced 560,500 tonnes of copper respectively.
Global Copper Mines Capacity Rises%4.8
Global Copper mines capacity stood at 15.072 Mt during the first seven months of 2021, registering a %4.8 growth compared with the corresponding period of the past year.
World Refined Copper Output Rise %2.6
Global copper producers during the first seven months of 2021, produced 14,361million tonnes of refined copper which indicates a 2.6 percent growth compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
Likewise, refined copper production capacity of global smelters stood at 17.623 million tonnes during the first seven month of the current calendar year, rise 1.8 percent YOY.
