STEELFAB – RIDING ON CORE SECTOR GROWTH

The majority of the demand will be generated by the region’s core sector, which includes construction, manufacturing, oil & gas and infrastructure, besides the pipeline industry.

SITTING PRETTY ON STRONG FUNDAMENTALS

The steel fabrication and metal working industry is bracing for a deluge of opportunities, given that the economy has entered the growth cycle and the core sector is in expansion mode.

The much acclaimed World Expo 2020 win and the reclassification of the UAE to emerging market status are sure to add dynamism to the economy that is spurred by a resurgent construction sector, huge non-oil sector investments, high oil prices, and the booming industrial & manufacturing industry, among others.

Demand from these core sectors have been consistent for the past couple of years and are projected to increase sharply in the future, prompting the steel fabrication sector to look at acquiring new machinery and technology to enhance production.

HISTORY -STEELFAB 2015 A PEAK INTO SUCCESS

SteelFab 2015, held at Expo Centre Sharjah from January 26 to 29, registered nearly 15% rise in the number of visitors -- from 9,022 in 2014 to 10,324 in 2015.

UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE - The Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, Automation Systems and Ancillary Products has been a supporter of SteelFab since the third edition and will continue its support for the next edition.

GERMAN PAVILION - The German region of Bavaria has participated with a joint companies’ stand and a pavilion for four continuous editions of SteelFab till the 2009 edition. This was then enlarged to the official German Pavilion at SteelFab 2011, SteelFab 2012, SteelFab 2013, SteelFab 2014 and SteelFab 2015.

TAMI - The Taiwan Association of machinery industry attended SteelFab 2011 with an information booth and a pavilion of 9 companies from Taiwan. This support increased to 30 companies in SteelFab 2015 and now for the next edition they have already doubled their space booking for SteelFab 2016.

Several other export promotion boards and country machinery associations have shown an interest in SteelFab and could be expected to join in the coming edition.

FASTENER WORLD MIDDLE EAST

The Middle East Trade Show for Fastener & Fixing Technology.
The inaugural FASTENER WORLD MIDDLE EAST 2016, a dedicated trade fair for the fastener and fixing industry, will take place at Expo Centre Sharjah alongside STEELFAB MIDDLE EAST.

FASTENER WORLD ME 2016 will provide an excellent opportunity for raw material suppliers, manufacturers of fastener production machinery and equipment, and product manufacturers to come into direct contact with buyers, specifiers, distributors and industry professionals from across the UAE and neighbouring countries looking for latest cutting-edge fastener and fixing technologies.
