Observer of Sistan and Baluchistan Customs and Director General of Zahedan Customs Reza Rasti said that about $772,959,515 worth of products were exported from border customs and marketplaces of this Southern province in the first nine months of the current year (from March 21 to Dec. 22).
He made the remarks on Saturday and added, “1,003,757 tons of products were exported from customs offices of this province in the same period.”
He went on to say that 888,177 tons of goods, valued at $842,606,160, were imported into this province from March 21 to Dec. 22, showing a 78 and 25 percent hike in terms of weight and value respectively.
India is determined to expedite the development of Chabahar port in Sistan and Baluchistan, in a bid to further increase its trade with Afghanistan and Central Asia.
The full development of Chabahar port by Indians, new railways to link the province with Pakistan and the national network of Iran will further boost the local economy in the province.
