India: Odisha Iron Ore Dispatches Up 34% in Nov’19

Odisha- India's largest iron ore producing state recorded total iron ore dispatches at 8.37 MnT in Nov'19, up 34% on monthly basis as against 6.23 MnT in Oct'19. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of miners- SAIL & Tata Steel.

Rungta Mines, India's largest private merchant miner, recorded iron ore dispatches at 2.34 MnT in Nov'19, up 25% as against 1.88 MnT a month ago.

Serajuddin mine recorded iron ore dispatches at 1.14 MnT in Nov'19, up 66% as against 0.68 MnT in Oct'19. Serajuddin mine produces around 10 MnT iron ore annually and has an EC limit of 15.15 MnT p.a.

OMC, state-owned miner recorded 75% increase in dispatches to 0.94 MnT as against 0.54 MnT in Oct'19.

RP Sao, Kaypee Enterprises, KJS Ahluwalia depicted sharp rise in monthly dispatches at 0.63 MnT, 0.57 MnT and 0.52 MnT respectively.

On 20th Nov, Odisha's major merchant iron ore miners namely Serajuddin, KJS Ahluwalia & Kaypee increased iron ore lump offers. Miners increased prices for 5-18 mm (Fe 63%) by INR 300/MT to INR 4,000/MT (ex-mines, including Royalty, DMF, & NMET) as against last offers at INR 3,700/MT (ex-mines, GST extra).
