Iran, Georgia Vow to Expand Bilateral Ties

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili in Tehran underlined the need to develop mutual cooperation in different political and economic fields.

During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Sunday, Zarif and Khvtisiashvili explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating all-out relations.

The two sides discussed the status of the bilateral relations and exchanged views on the ways to expand cooperation in different fields.

Khvtisiashvili is in Tehran to participate in the third round of bilateral political consultations between Iran and Georgia.

The Georgian deputy foreign minister has already met with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araqchi and some other senior Iranian officials on Sunday.
