India: MMTC Issues 30,000 MT Pig Iron Export Tender on Behalf of NINL

MMTC- India’s largest and state-owned trading house, has floated export tender of 30,000 MT non-alloy Pig Iron on behalf of Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL). The material offered has specification - C: 3.6-4.3%; Si: up to 1.24%; Mn < 1%, S: 0.05% max; P: 0.15% Max. The due date for submission of bids is 14:30 hrs on 02 Jul’19.

Shipment Schedule: The shipment is scheduled Between 6 August 2019 to 16 August 2019 on FoB basis at Paradip port, India.

NINL latest offers for steel grade pig iron at INR 26,900/MT (USD 386), the prices are down by INR 500/MT as against earlier offers which were circulated during Apr'19 end at INR 27,400/MT. The prices are ex-plant, Cuttack, Odisha (eastern India) & excluding bulk purchase discount of INR 100-400/MT.

Global Pig iron market overview - Global pig iron market continues to remain weak amid falling scrap prices. Assessment for CIS origin stands at USD 325/MT, FoB Black Sea.
