The European Steel Association (EUROFER) wrote on its website on July 20 that the European Commission has released details of its proposed anti-dumping measures on Hot Rolled Flat (HRF) steel and named Brazil, Iran, Russia, Serbia, and Ukraine as the five countries included in this anti-dumping case.

During the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22) Mobarakeh Steel Company exported 476,000 tons of crude steel worth $200 million, Tehran chamber of commerce website quoted the company’s managing director, Ahmad Sadeqi, as saying.

Oman, the UAE, Jordan, and Egypt were the main targets, while the company also exported products to Thailand and some European countries, he added.

According to a January report published by the World Steel Association, Europe’s steel import from Iran has increased by nearly eight times between 2013 and 2016, placing the country at the third spot next to China and India
