Iran’s steel ingot production up 5% in 10 months yr/yr

Iran’s steel ingot production registered a 5.2 percent rise during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March21,2023_January20,2024).

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Iran produced 27,095,000 tons of steel ingot (billet, bloom, slab) during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March21,2023_January20,2024) registering 5.2 percent growth compared to the same period of the previous year.

Likewise, Iranian steelmakers produced an aggregate of 18,255,000 tons of steel products during the mentioned period.
During the period under review, the country’s pellet and sponge iron production stood at 48,853,000 tons and 30,024,000 tons indicating 7.7 percent and 9.1 percent rise respectively.
