Iran’s Mineral Exports Passed $11 Billion in 11 Months

value of Iran’s mine and mining sector exports passed $11 billion during the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year(March21,2022_February20,2023).

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, despite the lack of energy supply, Iran’s mineral export value reached $11.08 billion during the first eleven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March21,2022-February20,2023), registering a 5 % fall in value and 4% growth in tonnage compared with corresponding period of last year.

During the period under review, Steel took the lion’s share of mineral exports in terms of value, worth $5.19 billion followed by copper with $1.42 billion, aluminum chain with $937 million and zinc chain with $552 million.

Likewise, mineral imports during the same period stood at $4.474 billion indicating a %23 and %4 growth in value and tonnage YOY, respectively. Steel chain had the biggest share worth $1.445 billion. Moreover, the value of aluminum chain, copper and downstream industries imports during the mentioned period stood at $312 million and $25 million respectively.
