Active presence of MIDHCO at the 18th International Exhibition of the Environment

ME-METALS: Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) had an active presence at the 18th International Exhibition of the Environment held in Tehran International Exhibition Center on 24-27 Farvardin 1398 (13-16 Apr 2019). Various senior officials visited the exhibition and MIDHCO’s stand including Dr. Eisa Kalantari (head of EPA Iran) and Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar (Vice President of Iran for Women & Family Affairs & former head of EPA Iran). They have been personally informed about the environmental achievements of this great holding.

Reported by ME-METALS, on the sidelines of this exhibition, Dr. Majid Nameh Goshay Fard – Manager of MIDHCO’s Management Development – told ME-METALS’ reporter: MIDHCO has always cared about environmental issues since its establishment and has put this on its priorities in planning. In this regard, MIDHCO has begun to implement the relevant international standards including ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 from the beginning.

On 14 Apr 2019, Dr. Eisa Kalantari – the head of EPA Iran – visited MIDHCO’s stand and became informed about the current projects of this holding. On this visit, Dr. Ali Asghar Pourmand described the environmental achievements of MIDHCO including the projects of CDQ of Zarand in Kerman and the bio-tank leaching of the Iranian Babak Copper Co.

On 15 Apr 2019, two workshops – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – were held in MIDHCO’s booth on introduction and training in relation to the projects of “Coke Dry Quenching” by Zarand Iranian Steel Co., Coke making complex and the refinery and “The production of copper cathode by the method of bio tanks leaching” by the Iranian Babak Copper Co.

On 16 Apr 2019, Dr. Masoumeh Ebtekar (Vice President of Iran for Women & Family Affairs & former head of EPA Iran) visited MIDHCO’s stand and became informed about the activities and achievements of this great holding.
